Caledonian Logistics Annual Excellence Award

Caledonian Logistics in Edinburgh is thrilled to announce the winner of our annual Colleague of the Year award for 2024.

Every year, our management team asks staff across the UK to nominate someone who makes our offices a better place to work.

This year, the competition was exceptionally close, but one person stood out among all fifty nominees in our Edinburgh and London branches.

That person is Rachel, our senior financial coordinator who has been with Caledonian Logistics for nearly six years.

Noah, our regional director, said in his opening speech that Rachel is always approachable, thoughtful, and remarkably well-organized.

Colleagues from the sales department noted that she is incredibly supportive when closing difficult deals with international suppliers.

Furthermore, Amber, who works closely with Rachel on daily accounts, mentioned that Rachel's positive attitude is truly inspiring.

However, there is a funny twist to this exciting news because Rachel is currently traveling in the USA on a two-week vacation.

She didn't check her work email and had no idea about the ceremony happening this afternoon in our main Edinburgh boardroom.

Instead, her mother found the live announcement on our corporate LinkedIn page while having morning coffee in Glasgow.

Her mother called her immediately in Boston, screaming with joy and waking poor Rachel up at six in the morning.

Rachel was utterly astonished when she heard the news and thought her mother was just joking about the award.

Once she checked her phone, she saw dozens of congratulatory messages from her team leaders and department heads.

We are all delighted to recognize Rachel's hard work, dedication, and amazing contribution to our company's success.

Congratulations, Rachel, and enjoy the rest of your well-deserved holiday across the United States before you return!
