What we keep
Your account: your name, email address, your password (only in scrambled, hashed form that nobody can read back), when you joined and last logged in, and whether you asked to be told about new offers.
Requests you send us (the "book a trial lesson" form): your name, phone number or email, what you wrote, and the page you sent it from.
Purchases: which level you bought, when, the amount, the reference code, and the name of the account the transfer came from, as our bank shows it.
Technical data: your IP address and browser type when you sign up or send a form, to stop abuse. Your answers in the free lessons are kept only in your own browser.
How the site is used: Google Analytics counts the pages people visit, how they reached the site (for example from a search or a link), their device and browser, and their approximate location (country or city). It does not tell us who you are.
Advertising: when you come to the site from one of our Google ads, Google Ads notes whether you then send a request, so that we can see which ads work. It does not tell us who you are either.
Why
To give you the lessons you have access to, to confirm your email address and let you log in, to answer your requests, to handle purchases and refunds, to keep the site secure, and to see which pages and lessons are useful so that we can improve them, and which of our ads bring people. The legal basis is the contract with you (your account and purchases), your request (the forms), and our legitimate interest in a secure and useful site.
Who else processes it
The banks: your bank and ours process the transfer (we see only what a transfer shows: the amount, the sender's name and the comment).
Brevo (France): sending the emails with your confirmation and password codes.
OVHcloud (France): the servers the site and its database run on.
Telegram: we receive a short notice (name and contact) when someone sends a request, creates an account or buys a level, so that we can answer quickly.
Google (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads): statistics on how the site is used and the measurement of our ads, as described above. Google may process this data outside Moldova and the EU, under its own safeguards.
We do not sell your data and do not show advertising on the site.
Cookies
es_member: set when you log in; it keeps you logged in for up to 90 days. It is needed for your account to work.
es_loc: remembers whether you chose Romanian or Russian for the lesson descriptions.
Google Analytics cookies (names starting with _ga): they let Google Analytics tell one visit from another, for up to 2 years. You can block them in your browser's settings or with Google's opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout); the site works the same without them.
Google Ads cookies (names starting with _gcl): they remember that you came from one of our ads, for up to 90 days, so that a request can be counted for that ad. You can block them in your browser too.
Your lesson progress is kept in your browser's local storage.
How long
Account data: until you delete the account. Purchase records: as long as the law on accounting requires. Requests: up to 2 years.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we keep about you, correct it, delete it, or take a copy of it, and you can object to how we use it. Write to support@englishschool.pro. You can also complain to the data protection authority of the Republic of Moldova or of your country.
Children
The site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly keep data of children under 16.
