Debriefing a Disastrous Load
Role-play a call between a senior dispatcher and a team lead discussing why a supposedly easy load in Texas went completely sideways and how they managed to salvage it.
• Explain what the original plan was supposed to be.
• Discuss the chain reaction caused by the initial setback.
• Describe how you had to improvise and keep a cool head.
• Conclude by discussing how you kept the customer in the loop.
Incident Report Email
Write an email (50-100 words) to your operations manager in Chicago explaining how a routine run went sideways, what actions were taken to rescue the freight, and how you owned the outcome.
• Use the future in the past structures (e.g., was supposed to) to explain initial expectations.
• Incorporate at least three new vocabulary terms from part A or B.
• Keep a professional and objective tone suitable for US logistics management.
