Critiquing a New App Design
Work with a partner. Discuss two different visual directions for a new mobile app in Seattle. Use adjectives (-ed/-ing and extreme adjectives) to express your gut reactions and explain whether the concepts are brilliant, bland, or underwhelming.
• Start by sharing your first reaction to the moodboard review.
• Discuss whether the color palette is eye-catching or a bit boring.
• Explain if any part of the UI design feels overwhelming or dated.
• Decide together which visual direction has the best wow factor.
Design Review Feedback Email
Write an email (40–120 words) to a colleague in an Austin design agency. Share your thoughts on their latest dashboard concept, using at least two extreme adjectives and one -ing adjective.
• Start with a friendly greeting and mention the moodboard review.
• Use extreme adjectives like 'stunning' or 'brilliant' to praise good work.
• End by stating whether the design feels refreshing or needs changes.
