• Express your pet peeves politely using phrases like 'I need to have a word with you'.
• Listen to your flatmate's side without interrupting.
• Agree on a new cleaning rota and quiet hours for the apartment.
The Passive-Aggressive Fridge Note
Write a short message (40-120 words) to leave on the fridge in your shared apartment in Seattle, addressing someone who keeps eating your food and leaving dirty dishes in the sink.
• Use 'be always + -ing' or 'keep (on) + -ing' to describe the annoying behavior.
• Mention specific house rules or the cleaning rota.
• End by suggesting a time to clear the air together.
