My strangest night shift

Welcome back to my nursing blog. I'm Michelle, and I work at a busy hospital in Glasgow. Today I'm sharing my favorite story about a strange night shift from last month.
It was supposed to be a quiet night, but nothing went right from the start. Samantha was working with me on Ward Four, and Sam was our night doctor on duty.
While we were reviewing patient files at midnight, a sudden power cut happened. All the computers crashed, and the emergency alarm started ringing loudly.
Everyone panicked for a few minutes because we didn't have any electronic records. I was running down the dark corridor with a small flashlight in my hand.
We needed to check blood tests and vital signs manually, but we couldn't see anything in the hallways. Then our amazing patients stepped in to help us solve the crisis.
Several patients were holding their own phone torches so we could read the charts. We managed to keep calm, finish all examinations, and smile together.
That night taught me that good teamwork can fix any technical disaster. Next week, I'm writing about my first day in the emergency room.
