Discussing a Tool Migration
Work with a partner in a simulated audio call between two designers in San Francisco. Discuss your recent switch to a new design tool, the learning curve, and how you are getting used to auto layout.
• Talk about what software you used to use in your previous studio in Boston.
• Describe your initial resistance to change and the steepest learning curve you faced.
• Share tips on how your team is getting used to auto layout and avoiding lost formatting.
• Discuss whether the license cost was worth the improved feature parity.
Slack Message to the Design Team
Write a short message (60-100 words) to your design team in Chicago announcing the upcoming migration to a new tool. Explain what tool you used to use, mention the trial period, and encourage everyone to give the new software a chance.
