Resolving Workplace Friction

Role-play a conversation between two colleagues in a London office who have experienced a personality clash and need to clear the air. One person tends to micromanage, while the other bottles things up.

• Acknowledge the unspoken tension in the team without pointing the finger.
• Discuss specific annoying behaviours using 'will' or 'be always + -ing'.
• Agree on neutral ground for future project coordination.
• Commit to burying the hatchet and airing grievances constructively.

Addressing Passive Aggression in an Email

Write an email (60–100 words) to a colleague in your New York office. Address recurring friction professionally, mention specific annoying habits without sounding overly accusatory, and propose meeting on neutral ground to smooth things over.

• Use polite phrasing and hedging to soften your critique.
• Focus on the impact of the behavior rather than attacking the person.
• Proclude a clear, positive call to action for clearing the air.
